Upcoming Book "Wellington on Napoleon; The Duke's Commentary on Napoleon's Disastrous 1812 Invasion of Russia" due to be published
Appearing on Amazon it seems; again, I am at present not involved in any marketing, and don't intend these posts to be that. I don't even have an account on Amazon for it to belong to, so some other chap can get the praise (or criticism!)

The full transcript of Wellington's work is in it, as I thought that very important that it should be in print.
Also has a "commentary" by me, as each time I read it I noticed more and more interesting parts that I felt needed explaining

I look forward to reading it then

It's a quote from O'Meara. Described Suchet, Clauzel and Gérard as his best generals. Suchet was already a Marshal

That it was poor from the start

Las Cases quoted him as saying Foy, Lamarque, Clauzel and Gérard were his "new marshals". But all those St Helena ramblings have to be treated carefully

I've one too.

Actually I'd wait until it's on Pen and Sword. I've not been sent the marketing stuff, but apparently it is appearing online now

I was struck by how the ground the union was on was higher, so they'd be pouring a fire down into it, making it like a death trap

Having been there, it does seem to me a pretty terrible position for the Confederates to deploy. Was surprised as I was used to reading how strong it was, the sunken lane seemed a death trap

Seen DS9, Enterprise and Next Generation, but that's it regarding star trek shows. Not heard of Firefly.
Currently just flicking through different episodes of Quantum Leap, the original not this new one they made

Before my time. Aside from children's tv, only started taking an interest in other shows about 10years ago, and that was re-runs of Star Trek Enterprise
