I'm not much of a drinker, certainly not a day-drinker, but I don't think a small slice of rum cake for my after lunch morsel qualifies.
Good Lord, you can smell the rum! Besides, it arrived from my sister unwrapped, so it's completely fair game before Christmas.

For those of you who remember the almost disastrous attempt to grill halloumi cheese in a toaster oven (🔥 🚒), I have redeemed myself.

Took a short walk on a path near my house overlooking the valley. It's the first time in two years I've been able to walk without a cane, and the first time in about six I've been able to walk without pain. It was thrilling! At the end, I was almost in tears, I was so grateful.

I have two stuffed kitties in the living room and bedroom windows. Closing the shutters really squishes them into the window frame. Makes for a much toastier house.
The only problem has been I periodically look up and think one of my cats has gotten stuck between the window and the shutters.
