Not trying to be pedantic but domination muddles what it pretends to clarify. If this simply about reducing alternative supplies and thus increasing fossil fuel prices? Or OPEC-like collusion? Is this about China dependency? Or are we imagining O&G companies restricting sales to blue california?

Agreed. AI also lessens the **need** for freedom. Last century, liberal societies with an educated & free middle class decisively won the economic competition. But an elite with AI might not need a free middle class for innovation & growth. And China may already be proving that point.
