The true tragedy of a cashless society is not being able to watch your charitable donation slide around a spiral bowl

Jon Bernthal played the Punisher once so now he wants every podcast host to think he's the most badass guy ever who totally gets into loads of fights in real life

Capitalism is a predictable system.
If I buy a box of eggs that says L on the box, they'll all be large eggs.
If it says mixed M/L, they'll all be medium.
If it says S/M/L, they'll all be small.

Totally hooked on @blakemanorgame.bsky.social after my first couple of hours with the game. The way all the bits of evidence add up and intertwine, with the gentle pressure of the clock making you consider every action, makes for a really tense experience

If you use the words "Fatwa", "Sharia", or other "Muslim words" with the intention of creating a fear response, you are doing racism.
These words are not, and should not, be used as symbols of extremism.

Portal-likes are a real genre, but the best of them define their own themes and stories. I've played a lot of these, and I often have a great time with their puzzles and mechanics.
I do always do a cringe when they imitate the Aperture science announcer or intro yet another bootleg GLaDOS though

I played Radiolight and honestly the writing and story make such a hamfisted turn into shallow and poorly thought out that it's clear that every reviewer who compared it to Firewatch did not understand Firewatch beyond "walkie talkies in a national park"

Spaghetti squash doesn't taste like spaghetti at all

Also, these libertarians were such jerks as well, this was a meeting in our local area for our community to ask questions to a few candidates, and we discovered 20 minutes in that they had brought 3 people as backup to try and dominate the conversation
Had the chance to call out a local politician on their Islamophobic dogwhistling and rhetoric today and I made them very uncomfortable and I'm in a great mood now

I've never met a waterproof plaster that didn't instantly slide off my finger the moment I washed my hands

I'm sorry to say this but tennis balls are green, not yellow

Hate when people use the word firebrand for Wilders. Makes him sound like some cool, edgy dude.

Call him by his proper title: dickhead

I am NOT voting for Mamdani, and nothing you say to me can change my mind, because I do not live in new york and so I am ineligible to vote in their mayoral elections

Autumn is pretty good you know

Earns the hype

If a politician puts up their "vote for me" boards, and doesn't bother to take them down again within a couple of days after the vote, that's a metaphor for how they will approach their campaign promises.

Their interns slap them up in a matter of hours, there's no excuse to see them weeks after

I didn't know who this Leslie fella was before he completely lost his mind saying the whole world was out to sabotage his lukewarm game concept, but I sure will remember him for that alone

Ice in water is bad, because

- it makes it too cold
- it tries to jump into your mouth when you drink
- room temperature is perfect, why are we interfering with that?

Games would be better if they didn't have achievements

I'd rather hear socially about a cool thing you managed to do in a game rather than chasing some arbitrary list the dev came up with under protest

It takes the joy away to turn everything into a checklist of stuff to complete

I always get so pissed off reading Murakami because he settles you in, the mood is great, vibes immaculate, then he drops some of the creepiest, shallow, over-sexualised trash you've ever read and ruins the whole thing

Right so can we just acknowledge that white pepper tastes and smells like fertiliser and is NOT a substitute for black pepper.
Always makes me gag

Filling your room with HP merch and telling people you're a ravenclaw officially became creepy 1 year after you left secondary school which statistically, was at least a decade ago now
