Don't take your eye off other issues. Labour need to pushing ahead with residential leasehold abolishment/Reform.
Shared-equity leasehold flats were miss-sold via govmt-backed schemes.
Some non staircased holders were denied term extension.
Not pointed out at point of sale.

Switching green levies to general taxation is a good move. Although, what we need to see soon is the decoupling of electricity prices from fossil fuels. Much of the energy we produce is now from renewables. Those who have already gone electric only deserve reward.

These things all matter - but the train line is already there, and the station underused. And train lines aren't easy to build. So makes sense to build new homes there, and then bus lines, etc can be added.

Having a station may not be sufficient to stop people driving anywhere - but it's a useful start. And the purpose of building new homes is to give people new homes. If you only build where nobody would possibly want to own a car, you'd build only in central London.
