A girl who, mind you, doesn't agree with the "reclaiming pedos" framework as this does not actually help anyone the way making one aware of the systems in place that hurt children would, but I guess she's catching strays too because she said something ABOUT the situation that can be spun as defense!

AND I've now been called a pedophile for uhh... *checks notes* saying that it was dishonest and once again sensationalizing to take a different girl's post that was clear as day sarcasm out of context to frame her as saying something she doesn't sincerely believe.

Because, since I had the SLIGHTEST defense towards this, which in this case was "Hey, I think saying what happened here was a case of someone 'coming out' as a pedo is a dishonest and sensationalist framing of things," that means what I'm ACTUALLY saying is I'm totally cool with pedos or whatever.

It's really fucking annoying because the same thing that makes the discourse frustrating there is happening here too... people wanna be dishonest and just straight up mean for the Spectacle of the Drama instead of like actually having any meaningful conversation about this.

Because when I checked Juney's blog, what I saw was that she's frustrated with the framework of "reclaiming pedophilia" going around in light of this discourse as she feels the focus of this conversation should instead be on what systems allow child abuse, which her post was in part about.

I clear as day said I don't agree with that post. I just don't think framing the whole situation to outsiders as "popular trans girl came out as a pedo" is honest nor is it helpful.

Again, I did not entirely agree with that post and certainly disagree with the posts she made after, I also think it was irresponsible of her to drop posts like these in the middle of yet another transfem banwave, HOWEVER I really don't think this calls for trying to pedojacket another girl.

But! I don't think it's helpful either to just no context say a popular trans woman "came out as a pedophile" either.
This whole thing is frustrating and overall I don't think she should've made the post BECAUSE of the reactions it's getting.

Certainly what's annoying about this discourse in its entirety is how the focus of the conversation is "reclaiming pedophiles," I think you and I agree on this, the focus of the conversation should be making people aware of the way child abuse manifests and what systems allow it.

I'm aware of reblogs that followed this that are the reason I took my break from Tumblr yes, I'm not saying this IS about ageplayers just that with the broadness at which the term "pedophile apologia" is used I don't think that means someone IS a pedophile, if they aren't attracted to kids?

This is why when it comes to ANY discourse like this you should not blindly trust any obviously cropped screenshots, look for the actual source and full context and form your opinion from there. This is also why the "callout post" is a useless tactic because all THIS is doing is stirring the pot.

When looking for this I even found out that she disagrees with the framing of the post all this discourse spawned from because she believes that the focus of this conversation should be making it known how child abuse happens and what systems allow it instead of "reclaiming" pedophiles.
