IMO Korra does a better job with its villains, the only Avatar one that comes close is Azula. Amon, Zaheer, and Kuvira are amazing.

But it fails to assemble as compelling of a main protagonist group, nobody gets close to Toph or Iroh

Also they made Toph invent cops which is character assassination

Bolas, in turn, indirectly caused the release of the Eldrazi by maddening Sarkhan and sending him to Zendikar. Without Sarkhan there, Jace and Chandra don't end up triggering the Eye of Ugin to open and the Eldrazi remain sealed.

The Rifts and the Mending are responsible for Bolas's return. The widening Rifts let him manifest, and he manipulated Venser and Teferi's companions to secure his release. If they weren't all trying to Mend shit, there would be no one there to release Bolas even if he could manifest w/o Otarian Rift

Then you've got The Mending. The latest and largest of the Major Rifts on Dominaria that necessitated The Mending was the Otarian Rift, caused by the climax of the conflict over the Mirari which resulted in the creation and ultimately destruction of Karona. W/o that Rift, maybe there's no Mending.

New Phyrexia's play for the multiverse can be traced back to Karn tracking Phyrexian oil to Argentum. Why was he on Argentum? He took the Mirari from Otaria and turned it into Memnarch, because it was causing Problems where it was. Argentum then became Mirrodin and eventually New Phyrexia.

He's been carrying the entire MTG franchise on his back is why

Well, I don't think they made a 9818/500 :p

I own a single slab. It's a commander I'm fond of and first built nearly 15 years ago, serialized with the number in my internet screenname.

I'm currently playing an indie game called Sliding Hero, which is a mix of sliding on ice puzzles and Metroidvania mechanics. Art is reminiscent of Link to the Past but with a Medieval Gothic tinge to it.

As in, you're changing the lyrics to be about Pikachu, or you're singing them AS Pikachu, i.e. every word is replaced by Pi Pika Pi Chuuu

It's dumb as hell but extremely fun and I'm proud of it. Maelstrom Wanderer always cascades into Toski and Eureka. Everything else costs 8+, so Eureka slams a bunch of huge dudes into play every time. Ramp comes from awful lands that can make 2+ mana. Folds to one counterspell.

If I recall correctly, they had originally planned for four seasons, and so had to condense some stuff to wrap up after the learned they were only getting three.

It's interesting to me that Common #6 is the U/B dual land, but black's first Common is #23

IMO they're at their best when you're running lands/dorks/rocks that can tap for 4+ so they become mana engines. Gaea's Cradle, Circle of Dreams Druid, Evendo Haven, Itlimoc, Cabal Coffers and its Magus, Nykthos, Nyx Lotus, White Lotus Tile, Three Tree City, etc.

U/R are the colors most likely to be looting/rummaging stuff and U tends to have some self-mill. It would seem really weird to have a UR card scaling off of lands, that feels firmly G.

Odd, that's primarily my reason to want to run it.

I often forget it gains life, that just seems like way too much on top of everything else

Super Smash Bros the Gathering would be phenomenal.

Fun fact, you can currently fill a pod with Smash Ultimate characters: pick 4 of Cloud, Sephiroth, Ryu, Ken, and Sonic.

This does not let you cast the back unless you have 7 mountains. You exile until you hit any nonland and then can cast that spell if it meets the criteria.
Bring to Light exiles a card that meets the criteria but then blanket lets you cast it.

If I had an electro-industrial band I'd probably call it

Was it Mirri?

For most things that in the past I wanted a 4c commander for, there's enough going on now that I could just make 2-3 decks of different color IDs with the cards I was interested in, with little overlap.
