Hi BlueSky friends (new and old)...

We're a grassroots campaign calling on the Britain's biggest landowners to rewild their land!

We'd love to connect with everyone who believes in a fairer, wilder Britain.

Make it wild & make it ours!
It's time for October's #RewildingRoundup! 🧵

🌳 A radical bill has been proposed to grant nature legal rights led by Natures Rights, @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social and @chrisgpackham.bsky.social. The bill would see nature treated not as object, but rather a living thing deserving of protection.

Scotland’s third Land Reform Bill has been criticised as inadequate by land reform campaigners, but here’s one good bit: it will require owners of landholdings over 1,000 hectares to set out how they are boosting biodiversity

Let’s do the same in England:

An inspiring project from All Saints Church to create a Wilder Churchyard.

This video illustrates beautifully the positive impact for nature and the community of these small scale rewilding initiatives within the Church

The fantastic Irish author Manchán Magan has recently died 😢 He wrote mesmerising books re engaging people with the myth and history of the land, and skilfully communicated how understanding and connection with nature could catalyse positive change. Though we will miss his voice we cherish his work.
