Any person in academia/government service/military who is a figurehead or spokesperson ought to have a rule: for any paragraph of this sort of vague wordvomit they should be required to describe one concrete example in accessible language.

I have this book on the "Professional Reading" shelf at the library, but since it's not a turgid tome on Airpower written in the 1980s or the latest pop-psych '7 ways to be a totally awesome Leader' nobody cares. Shame. If more people read Pratchett they'd BE better leaders due to increased humanity

Speaking as someone involved in purchasing for a library, we generally buy from vendors who stock from traditional publishers. We used to add *local* self-pub authors too. But now we're being presented with a lot of 'me/my kid just wrote a book, can you add it' situations where it's clearly AIslop
