On the blog, I explain why impoundment is unlawful and unconstitutional. I also warn that attempted impoundment--like the birthright citizenship EO--shifts the Overton window towards authoritarianism, even when it's struck down, thus muting reactions to Trump's other unlawful power grabs.

Engagé dans la résistance, Marc Bloch est arrêté à Lyon le 8 mars 1944, emprisonné et torturé à la prison de Montluc, puis fusillé le 16 juin avec 29 de ses camarades.
