I would rather see them in prison than dead before facing justice. It is going to be extremely important how accountability is handled when this is over. Biden and Garland’s leniency on J6 is part of what got us here, continuing to act like this is all normal politics

I went on the bus tour! Salzburg is a gorgeous place. It was very interesting on our tour to hear how alarming it was for the locals to see Nazi’s flag hung up for the filming, they had to be very quick about it. It hadn’t been that long and people still remembered and thought it was happening again

I don’t think this goes far enough. All of these policies are still incredibly conservative but I guess we have to start somewhere. Universal healthcare should be baseline, healthcare being for-profit at all is insane. I’m tired of being told this is radical, this is BASELINE

The governing attitudes of our Utah lawmakers directly reflect attitudes about LDS church authority. All of them feel this way, Lee is just the least palatable about it. They feel entitled to do whatever they feel their god wants them to do and anyone questioning authority is a heretic

I hate these supposed Utah “moderates”. Just fascists with a more kindly demeanor and soft Mormon-speak voice. I want to see one of the deep red districts flip blue next year in addition to the new competitive district. A lot can happen in a year, including the Epstein files and AI bubble bursting

Also Utah, our legislators have been crying all year about the new maps the voters chose. It would be HILARIOUS to see not only the new blue district but also at least one of the deep red ones go blue in 2026 😂 they can’t deal with the fact they might have to earn votes

After all of the drama in Utah over our congressional maps, it would be the funniest thing ever to turn one of our solid red districts blue, along with the new competitive district we just made in our new map. I hope Republicans are having the worst time today 🥱

IMO, at best the BofM is an interesting cultural artifact, probably the most successful iteration of the common-to-the-time speculation about the origins of Native Americans, which we now know are unfounded and also deeply offensive. It doesn’t compare with the Bible in historical significance

They are not trained to obey the chain of command without question actually, it’s drilled into them from day 1 that they can say no to illegal orders.

We continue the long term push for ranked choice voting and campaign finance reform. Divorce from the idea that politicians are going to save us and build stronger communities locally. Vote in every single small local election and primary. Fight for things you might not live to see

Doable, in my opinion. Definitely after midterms, but also possible by the end of this month. I still believe that good things are possible. Things fall apart slowly, then suddenly very quickly.

I kind of agree and it’s infuriating that the higher ups keep getting away with what they tell the lower ranks to do, but saying no to carrying out the actual illegal strike is WORLDS different than following orders to be deployed. Being moved somewhere ≠ carrying out a lethal and illegal order

How long can that loyalty last? Trump chews up and spits out all his loyalists. And it looks like congress might do their jobs and get rid of some of his criminal cabinet. I hate MTG but she’s the canary in the coal mine. I admit if people don’t start getting justice soon I might freak out a bit

Are you paying attention at all to congress right now? There is so much time for enough senators to want him gone, for MANY reasons. The writing is on the wall, Trump isn’t benefitting them anymore. He doesn’t have the popularity and it’s becoming obvious they can’t pull off full send fascism either
