Depends what it is. I still read history but almost everything else, particularly anything related to current events or politics is just depressing. I used to be a politics obsessive but can no longer bear to watch the news or newsnight or listen to R4.

I'm quite enjoying it but it has the usual RTD problem of him not really knowing or understanding how things like the government, politics, the armed forces, nato etc actually work.

It's another one of those issues that everyone wants the government wants to do something about but nobody wants to pay for. Politicians have no courage to do something that will be electorally unpopular. The opposition always shit on proposals too, whether it's Burnham's plan under Lab or May's.

As for "Anti-Israelism" if you can't understand how opposing the nation that has been absolutely integral to Jewish history, culture and identity since the time of the old testament is antisemitic, I would suggest you don't know enough about Judaism, history or antisemitism to have an opinion.

Did you call for a boycott of the UAE for what they are doing in Sudan and Yemen? Did you call for a boycott of China for what they do to the Uigher? Have you ever advocated the boycott and protest of any other state than the only Jewish state in the world? There's your answer.
