I've done 50+ quickplay fractals across four accounts, and I have seen Kinfall exactly *once*. I've had three Deepstones back to back though.

It's already been officially revealed we're not getting weapons for this round of elite specs, so the shield is definitely off the table. :D
There's been no official revelation past those you mention, but it's widely assumed rangers get the winged bow icon spec, whatever it is.

Dark Urge is legit *the* intended protagonist. It's what was supposed to be the original, until Larian separated it (for fairly good reasons). But this time around, the "evil" route (you can still fight the urges, so you can get a good ending from it) has a lot more unique interactions.

Yeah, this feels about right. One of the major reasons I don't share my NSFW stuff is that I really don't want to get cattledriven into doing *just* that.

Not very indie, but since you seemed fond of Baldur's Gate 3, have you checked out Larian's previous game? Divinity: Original Sin 2 is in similar vein & mechanics, has great writing, great visuals and one of the best soundtracks ever.
And like BG3, it will keep one occupied for quite a long while.
