Now this on the other hand is that marriage of visuals and sound that I seek in games. Almost everything in this game is a phenomenal treat to behold, and some of the challenges are quite fun.

I appreciate them bringing back out the zts tracks for this game, that's lovely. A shame there's no lastendconductor.
As for the combat, it's simple, but I suppose it leaves more room for the story to mature.

I'm nowhere near done with this game, because it's everything I don't like about Metroidvanias and then some.
It's too difficult for me (even souls games give you more than one heal!), and it's easy for me to get lost in it.
