I was off by a few days. Puddles gone (Eastern bog churned up by neighbour’s cattle, though).
My task now, as I choose to accept it: purchase new vehicle, construct all-weather driveway, build solar PV charging station for vehicle. As usual put chances 50/50 before next big wet, and will be way off.

This girl at a local shelter was introduced to me as a dingo x huskie pup. Spayed now, so no long term relevance, but might there be some use trying to determine her heritage?
Her brother was very outgoing, adopted relatively quickly. She would always hide under bed. Now much braver, but still wary.

I’ve known this lovely dingo x huskie since she was a pup - lately getting braver, longer walks - still wary of anything new.

More fungi, and some invertebrate ‘grubs’ - probably a word for them massing together like this? Getting cool here in Southern hemisphere.

I guess these orange patches are fungi? and the spindly, branched, green bit in 3 is a lichen?

Still haven’t replaced my Telstra mobile since they turned off 3G last year :-(
But did find a pineapple! :-)

This is a cold weather preparation?
Here on easternmost coast of Australia, sand (for bagging against floodwater) is in short supply as we prepare for the southernmost coast crossing of a tropical cyclone in 50y.

Here’s another procedural generator - my back wall neighbour wasps are rapidly claiming my window, too. :-)

#coincidence I couldn’t bring to mind the term ‘bracket’, searched Wikipedia for ‘branch fungus’, saw en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavari... as the second suggestion! (cf. with OP’s pinned post :-) also, photo here because I forgot to put it in part one.

Here in Australia there is a native ginger plant, the fruit of which contains a small amount of tasty juice and a bunch of inedible seeds. The First Peoples would chew for the juice, then spit out the seeds - new plants emphasising the paths through the bush.

It used to be that electrical appliances would state their power consumption on the packaging, as well as the item. $APPL have long favoured their aesthetic over usability/user choice. Black on black writing, 1mm tall, hidden under a black sticker. A new low.

Remember when Australian pharmacies used to have big ol’ metal mechanical scales? There was one at my bus stop too, attached image suggests that may not have been so uncommon. For people to weigh their luggage before the ride to the aerodrome?

Cliché Kookaburra.
Maybe chose this gnarled, old gum tree because it gets both first(L) and last(R) sunlight.
