I most be getting old (or my parents don't have it on) because I've never noticed this while I do see complaints about it a lot.
They did have a huge burn mark on their last TV that since me nuts and they didn't notice until I pointed it out.

I'm trying but failing to find a paper that was "we made the LLM racist and then it got way worse at other tasks" (or maybe the other way...). The implication being there's some "badness" subspace that ruins LLMs in many ways.
Lying about history = bad, and so coding gets worse was the thought.
