It's extremely telling that everyone arguing for this boils it down to a matter of personal safety. They are simply nationalists who benefit from the lipservice liberal status quo and reject anything that challenges it because it's better that greater harm come to others than put themselves at risk

I just miss the ability of people to say "oh, I guess my knee-jerk reaction wasn't as airtight smartbrained as I thought. I'll delete my post" and then other people saying "it's okay, it happens."

Astronaut Mike does not look quite as similar to Prof Mike in other photos.

I looked him up and this was a real dude and that was his actual photo. He died in August. It is a pretty uncanny likeness.
