It is *wild* to see another studio reinterpret the world and character designs for a different audience. Especially with the custom character designs.

Yes, I know this. But for the general consumer the vibe will most likely boil down to "Animal Crossing but with Pokémon".

"And let's release it two months after we revive Animal Crossing with a new update and Switch 2 edition!"

What surprised me about Prime, back when I played it for the first time with the remaster, is the care and attention that Retro Studios put in its world and design. But my god it pales in comparison to how elaborate the log entries are in this game. It really enriches the experience.

Geoff is gewoon de shitkers bovenop deze taart. Dit is precies wat aandeelhouders / executives willen van hun awardshow.
November 7, 2025 at 9:14 AM
Who else would decide to do an awards show in fucking december, if not for charging higher ad rates for the pre-holiday season? It's not for the industry. If you organize it in January journalists can play a large variety of titles that *actually* released in 2025 and you combat AAA recency bias.

There are many talented writers, critics and creators out there with Game of the Year lists full of beautiful prose on how games enrich their lives while reflecting critically on the industry. Read, watch and listen to those instead of watching forty ads in between 30 secs of acceptance speeches.
