As a biologist in Washington DC, I directed funds & acres of retired farmland into wildlife habitat with proposals from local groups committed to wildlife conservation & ecological recovery. We had acres dedicated to everything from rattlesnake recovery to ocelot & jaguar habitat (& birds, Sam). 👏
