I was taught to write like this in architecture school because profs like that I could write at all.

In Planning school I started using Hemingway to ensure my writing was high school level or lower.

In professional practice I set my writing to Gr.4.

Much better results.

I once asked a TPS why he parked in the bike lane instead of the empty layby 1 meter ahead. Because he was causing the exact situation pictured.

“I don’t believe in bike lanes”

If you notice, the City can insist on “family sized units” but they cannot insist that those units only go to “families”.
