Here’s the scale for those interested
0 – Pain free (1-3 minor - able to adapt to pain) 1 – Very minor annoyance – occasional minor twinges. No medication needed. 2 – Minor annoyance – occasional strong twinges. No medication needed. 3 – Annoying enough to be distracting. Mild painkillers are effective (aspirin, ibuprofen) (4-6 Moderate - Interteres with many activities) 4 – Can be ignored if you are really involved in your work, but still distracting. Mild painkillers relieve pain for 3-4 hours. 5 – Can't be ignored for more than 30 minutes. Mild painkillers reduce pain for 3-4 hours. 6 – Can't be ignored for any length of time, but you can still go to work and participate in social activities. Stronger painkillers (codeine, acetaminophen-hydrocodone) reduce pain for 3-4 hours. (7-10 Severe - Patient is disabled and unableto function independently ) 7 – Makes it difficult to concentrate, interferes with sleep. You can still function with effort. Stronger painkillers are only partially effective. Strongest painkillers relieve pain (extended-release form of oxycodone, morphine) 8 – Physical activity severely limited. “Oh hello!” the stranger said. The squirrel’s tail flopped into his eyes, and he went cross-eyed looking at it. The man huffed a short laugh as he moved the tail out of the way and landed some scratches on the squirrel’s head afterwards. “It’s fine, he looks nice.” “Um… hi,” Namjoon replied. “Are you okay?” “Yes! Well, no, wait, I think I’m fine, but I really need to be at the castle, and I was just asking the birds if they knew how I could get there. They’ve never flown as far as the castle though, which is terribly sad, everyone deserves to visit the castle gardens at least once, I promised I’d take them once I’d found my way there though so they’re looking forward to that.” Right. Namjoon had stumbled upon a weirdo. A pretty weirdo but a weirdo, nonetheless. He should have just gone home when he had the chance. “And no one else has travelled that far either. You don’t happen to know the way to the castle, do you? It’s just- I’ve been so lost since I turned up here and no one else has been very helpful,” he paused as the birds started to chip. “No, of course not you, my friends, you can’t help not knowing where to go.” Was he talking to the birds?
