“This event happened on Friday (Jan. 9), just two days after a Renee Good was shot in the head and killed by a federal agent.The mom in this audio recording said she saw in a neighborhood chat there was a heavy ICE presence at the Ultra Wash laundromat on Blake Road in Hopkins, Minneapolis-a quiet suburb outside Minneapolis.When she arrived, around 12PM on Friday, the whole street was blocked. There appeared to be between 40-50 agents outside the laundromat. She got out of her car and walked over to safely observe, and let community groups know what was happening.That’s when she observed the event she described.The woman assaulted by ICE was horribly shaken. “I have never seen someone so hysterical in my entire life,” the mom said. “We called an ambulance for the woman, that basically had her head smashed in by an ICE agent, because she said physically she was okay. But she was so distraught. I couldn’t even understand what she was saying. She was hysterical.”We cannot let this become America. Our country is so much better than this.We must continue to observe-it’s our First Amendment right-and peacefully protest.Show up for our neighbors who need our help.
