Seth, this is surprisingly obtuse of you. Obv Cruz is purposely conflating communism and Marxism and socialism. But HLS in the 70s-90s was the center of Critical Legal Studies, some of which was neo-Marxist. In most lib arts departments they would just have been normie left, but still neo Marxist.
