So Waddell thinks the team doesn't need any upgrades and should just bring back the same players? Wish I had the same positive outlook. Werenski and Mateychuk are locks. Provorov and Severson have no trade clauses. If he re-signs Guddy, that leaves very little wiggle room for defensive upgrades.

I can understand your "why not" statement, especially for 1 game. But I would rather see just about anyone other than Lundestrom on line 1. Just not a fan of him. He's my new Wennberg! Still bitter the Jackets signed him instead of keeping Kuraly or Danforth. Hopefully he makes me eat crow tonight!

And I'm not trying to harp on Fantilli. He has looked pretty good, just not elite. And he is already two assists away from matching his last year's total. So he is contributing. Defensively as well. I just wish he'd get the monkey off his back and keep the biting snake away. #CBJ

My thoughts exactly. If KJ and Fantilli were putting up points like they did last year, they might not be fighting to claw back into a playoff spot right now. They'd maybe be a team others were trying to catch.

I am sick and tired of looking to next season...but that's what I think Don Waddell should be doing. Even if we make the playoffs, we are nowhere near Cup contender status. Make some trades, stockpile assets, begin to replenish the prospect pool. #CBJ
