Member of La Murga de Austin and Los Verdes. I play tenor and bass trombone and I’m learning sousaphone. I also sort of play clarinet and tenor sax. Board game and TTRPG enthusiast. SFF fan — books, TV, and movies. Homebrewer of beer, mead, and cider.
I love both “Moulin Rouge” and “Strictly Ballroom”! I’ve watched them both so many times.

Hard to pick one for me. My introduction to them was the album “Some Great Reward” back when I was in high school in the 80s. I still love the opening song on the album: “Something to Do”. Such a great kickoff to the rest of the album.

After missing them for several years, we finally got back to Scarborough Renaissance Festival (Waxahachie, TX) and Texas Renaissance Festival (Todd Mission, TX) this year. So glad to make it back; we had a really good time at both. TRF is so huge that we did a weekend pass.

My bandmate in La Murga plays in Generation Exit here in Austin. She plays drums with this band (she plays trumpet with La Murga)
