Support small business! Support black-owned business! And, it is one of the SF Chronicle “best-rated” sourdough bakeries in the Bay Area!

A beautiful day at Ocean Beach, San Francisco. (the low point in the distal hills on the right side of the photo is where the San Andreas Fault comes ashore from the south.)

Visiting Tuscaloosa, Alabama. At the Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant Museum, there’s an homage paid to two of the great Alabama players, Jalen Hurts and Devanta Smith, who have gone on to become great Eagles players. Roll Tide! Go Philadelphia Eagles!

Our medieval government finding all the ways to reduce science to nothing:

Number 1, cut funding;

Number 2, appoint individuals to leadership positions who have no understanding of the value of science.

Number 3, fire as many scientist & support staff as is legally (or legally) possible.

“The painting on this week’s cover, by Amy Sherald, was supposed to go on display next month at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C. The Trump Administration has accused it of reinterpreting “one of our nation’s most sacred symbols through a divisive and ideological lens.””

Hmmm, environmental research and monitoring on the SF Bay. Isn’t that illegal now under this trumpian regime out of the Dark Ages?

Life in San Francisco. There is always hope, now matter how inhuman the current regime tries to make it.

San Francisco renamed a street to one of its most beloved native sons.
On what would have been Jerry Garcia’s 83rd birthday, officials, musicians & fans gathered at the intersection of Mission and Harrington streets in the Excelsior District, just steps from where Garcia lived with his grandparents.
