Poster description: "Decolonizing Sexuality and Gender Identity" is an event taking place on Saturday, May 23rd from 1pm to 3:30pm, at Knox United Church (451 18th St) in Brandon, Manitoba. Dr. James Makokis, a two-spirit Indigenous physician on a mission to raise awareness and create equal access for Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, will be speaking. All-ages event with free admission, but donations are welcome. Stay to mingle and share refreshments with presenters and attendees. Volunteers will be available to support any attendees wanting to explore the topic further. For more info, contact Knox United Church at 204 727 6975, or email admin@knoxunitedbrandon.ca.

Our first Trans ID Clinic of 2026 is at SERC MB's Brandon office (B-345 10th St) on Tuesday, January 27, 6-8pm! We offer peer support with legal name/gender changes, and have a Commissioner for Oaths on site.

Signal boost: "Do You Mind? Safer Dating for 2S/LGBTQIA+ Youth" is a program for ages 18-29 to learn about/build skills around dating relationships, and lessen/prevent dating violence amongst 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth.

Are you part of the 2STLGBQIA+ community? Do you want to learn more about dating relationships? "Do You Mind? Safer Dating for 2S/LGBTQIA+ Youth" is a program for youth aged 18-29 to learn about and build skills around dating relationships. This initiative aims to lessen or prevent dating violence amongst 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth. Participants will spend one full day in-person engaging in facilitated education modules and building connections with other attendees. The in-person session will take place on January 10th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Following this, participants will engage in an online learning session that walks them through planning, creating, and distributing a community-based resource. Ready to help make change? Learn more and join this leadership program: The Brandon, MB leadership program will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9 AM to 4 PM. To join, reach out to Racheal Wu, 2STLGBQIA+ Program Facilitator at SERC, Secuality Education Resource Centre MB, at rachealw@serc.mb.ca.
