My friend made a whole elaborate Creole meal and I had to make tacos out of it. The smoked collard greens were excellent in the tacos!

They LIKE what he says. It confirms previously held beliefs. They usually don't like real Indigenous history and cultures.

I think you are defining "middle class" by access to a stable life, which very few people have now. Not percentage of people in the middle of the income spectrum.

Agreed, very much. But it is not inexpensive. People with substantial money do shop there.

Zara is not cheap, but the clothing is poorly made. Bad combination. H&M is both cheap & poorly made.

In urban metro centers so much of income goes to the most basic essentials that there is little choice for upper income ppl to shop there. The alt is own only 5 expensive shirts & 1 jacket & rotate

They wore delicate archeological items from other tribal nations on their bodies, & by doing so destroyed them, to the horror of those tribal nations. The occupation of Alcatraz was a powerful statement that brought needed attention to the issue, but it did so at the cost of the Native people of CA

At the time of the occupation of Alcatraz, my dad was a young professor at UCB, the first CA Native to teach in the brand new Native American Studies program. He said that the Alcatraz group were privileged young people who didn't listen to elders or local Native people.
