My parents were moving back to MI to take care of my grandparents so I got my own place, and within a week of closing on it, they tell us they're eliminating all but 2 FT inventory positions and because one of the guys who joined the team years after me had worked there longer, he kept it.

I slugged along in perpetual part time mode while living with my parents, eventually did Ivy Tech for an accounting AAS until I scored a second part time job that paid dramatically better, and who offered me a full time position on their new inventory team.

We sell a good bit of this since we started carrying it about two months ago, still not nearly as much as the carbonara ones.

They're over the moon about this. It means that if he gets stuff we want done, they can crow about it, but any time he does anything they don't like or fails to deliver, they can "no true scotsman" to maintain their perpetual state of victimhood.

I still wish they hadn't admittedly used AI for some of their pre-build promotional material but I suppose that's not a total dealbreaker.

I straight up haven't gotten fast food more than once or twice since I lost my better paying job two years ago because it simply is not worth it. Siv ordered us Wendy's on our first staycation day and yes, the tendies were glorious, but I'm not paying $7.20 for four of them or $12 as a meal.
