i would actually prefer no new changes outside of the ending, the way it is now they force you go to note hunting for the new endings to even make sense. at the minimum ng++ could've been truncated to just the last 1/3 of the game

the content is worth seeing but it's hard to say it was worth the time investment, it's 90% same as ng+ with the last few cutscenes/boss fight changed
