bout a writer who's now in her prime
her story's are tiny

and feature a pirate of time

It's more the rhythm that's problematic for a limerick 😬

Now Sarah she went for some writing
at the township of wonderful Brighton
where she tap-tapped her cane
and danced in the rain
and captured the essence of lightning

I'm so glad!! I try to make sure I always include alt text in a helpful way, but I've seen some that think it's a gimmick so I didn't want this to come across like that. I feel like you need a limerick too! (if you'd like one, let me know)

Now Karen is quite widely known
For yearning the winner's gold throne
She's been third, she's been second
So the next step I reckon
Is gaining a crown of her own

Apart from the em-dashes, I already do all of this. In fact, every chapter of my novel starts and ends with those words😂

I can't wait. Nothing else is happening in my life in December 😬 but starting the day reading entries is such a highlight of my year. Every year I'm blown away by what gets sent in and the sheer volume and enthusiasm for it. Fingers crossed for some stunners again this year! Make my job hard!!!
