I'm not sure if the labor bill would increase by all that much, but certainly putting in the infrastructure for more gates/checkpoints and electronic pass readers would be costly.

Most park entry gates are, not surprisingly, in places where topography and remoteness make it very expensive to build.

Also, putting a picture of George Washington and Trump on the site is just gross.

Washington didn't have anything to do with the creation of the national park system, and Trump is dead set on destroying them by opening them up to drilling and mining.

Not when "whistleblowing" means, "someone said something I don't agree with."

The A&M student who videoed her English professor discussing the depiction of trans people in children's literature, then sent it to a right-wing senator to get the instructor fired also thinks she's a "whistleblower."

It's impressive how many right-wing talking points she squeezed into a short interview.

Eg., "administrative bloat" (MAGA for "DEI") rather than unfunded reporting mandates or CEO-level presidential comp approved by non-academic Boards; "fancy buildings" rather than skyrocketing health insurance.
