Your vote is your own, but the D'hont formula is designed to keep Yoonies in power.
Voting SNP 1&2 is doomed to fail.. last time round, it resulted in 56 SNP constituency seats but only 2 SNP List seats, whereas the potential for SGP 2 is 20-30 list seats from SNP 1 SGP 2
Keep Deform UK out.

They're so desperate to get Sarwar into Holyrood they'll put him on the List.
HR26: vote SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 for an Indy majority and to keep Sarwar and Deform UK off the List.
Vote sensibly not loyally 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

You'll find the same anti Scottish rhetoric on STV, Border and Grampian coming from BBC Scotland-Bad-uk-Good and amplified by MSM.
Scotland is never compared favourably with rUK or England.
November 28, 2025 at 7:41 PM
The SNP 1&2 strategy currently gives us 56 SNP constituency seats and 2 List seats
Voting SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 could return 56-58 SNP and 20-30 Scottish Greens

With the unfortunate rise of Deform UK and the likelihood that Tories will switch allegiance, SNP 1&2 will almost guarantee Deform UK List seats

In HR26 vote SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 for an Indy majority and to keep Deform UK off the List
Vote sensibly not loyally 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

SNP 1&2 only guarantees Yoonies onto the List.
In the D'hont formula; the total regional List vote is divided by the number of constituencies won by a party.
e.g. North East Scotland, 9 SNP constituency seats means total SNP List vote is divided by 9 so any party with more than 11% of SNP 2 win

As if we ever expected anything different from the Wastemonster. It was always going to be the case.
Don't waste your vote in HR26,
Vote SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 and keep Deform UK off the List
Vote sensibly not loyally

How the D'hont formula is designed to keep SNP off the List as in West Scotland Region
9 constituencies currently 7 SNP, 1 CON, 1 LAB
7 List 0 SNP, 2 CON, 3 LAB
SNP, LAB and CON voted 1&2
[SNP 2/7]=0 SNP
[CON 2/1]=2 CON
[LAB 2/1]=3 LAB
SNP 1 and SGP 2 becomes a no-brainer

It's not complicated, SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 for an Indy majority and to keep Deform UK off the List

The D'hont formula is designed to keep the Yoonies in power as can be seen from Central Region
9 constituencies currently 8 SNP 1 LAB
7 List 0 SNP, 2 CON, 3LAB
Both SNP and CON voted 1&2
[SNP 2/8]=0 List
[CON 2]= 2 List
SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 becomes a no-brainer
Vote sensibly

UK gov spent millions to close a still profitable oil refinery in Grangemouth and more millions to save failing Drax Lindsey
They nationalised a British (English) Steel plant but couldn't nationalised Grangemouth, as a result another 400 jobs are to go at Mossmoran.
Scotland will be ignored again

It only works for parties with the fewest seats by stacking the list with less popular parties, how do you think the Tories have way more List MSPs than constituency
It's no longer 2011, it's 2025, use the system against itself and keep the Yoonies out vote sensibly not loyally 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

2011 was an anomaly, you're living in the past. 2011 there was only one Indy party: SNP.
There are currently 6 parties; the 2 strongest are SNP and SGP voting SNP 1 and SGP 2 should result in an additional 20-30 Indy List seats as opposed to project 2-3 SNP List seats
November 14, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Do the Maths: in any given region ( usually 9 constituencies) vote 2 is divided by the number of constituencies a party wins in vote 1
As SNP wins most seats in all regions, vote 2 is slashed by up to 9 times so NE Scotland region SNP vote 2 = approximately 1 1% of votes cast
November 14, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Sorry, should have been [SNP 2/9]= 0 SNP List as SNP got 9 out of 10 constituencies in the region.
If party gets 1 or less constituencies their vote 2 remains unchanged

The D'hont formula is designed to keep Yoonies in power in HR, as can be seen from NE Scotland region
10 constituencies currently 9 SNP 1 CON
7 List currently 0 SNP, 4 CON
This is because both SNP and CON voted 1&2
[SNP 2/10]=0 SNP List
[CON 2/1]=4 CON List
SNP 1, SGP 2 is a no brainer
November 14, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Because the Scottish Greens have a broad appeal, regularly polling in the twenty percentile, whereas Alba gets around 5% and Liberate Scotland less than 2% there are 6 Indy parties in HR26, the 2 strongest by far are SNP and Scottish Greens the rest just split the Indy vote
November 11, 2025 at 9:40 PM
The D'hont formula is designed to keep Yoonies in power as can be seen from the South of Scotland Region:
9 constituencies currently 6 SNP 3 CON
7 List currently 1 SNP 3 CON
Because both SNP and CON voted 1&2
[SNP2/6]=1 SNP List
[CON 2/3]=3 CON List
Vote SNP 1 and SGP 2 becomes a no-brainer
November 11, 2025 at 3:07 PM
Below shows how SNP 1&2 is doomed to fail while highlighting the advantage of SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2
November 7, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Absolutely agree, the only reason I push SNP 1 and Scottish Greens 2 is because these parties are the two most likely to gain seats in HR26 while the plethora of other Indy parties only split the Indy vote. I would prefer to have SGP holding SNP feet to the flames of the Indy movement 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
