On Thursday, November 13, he returned to the same court where he was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment for all eight offences. Hudson will spend a further five years on licence once he is released from custody – due to his status as a dangerous offender.

Agreed. When I think back to the days when John Major was PM, if I'd been told what politicians today would be like, particularly those of the Conservative Party and Reform UK, I just wouldn't have believed it!
