I keep thinking it's a fundamental question about why we have human societies at all. Do we collectively support, say, someone with a broken leg so they can heal? Or push them out to get killed? I thought we decided thousands of years ago, but apparently not.

I guess the term I was trying to think of was "sylphs." And Anemoi, which I never heard of before. Ooh, and sidhe has a similar source. But yeah, none are exactly malign.
