On #InternationalHolocaustRememberanceDay, such an important read. It is key that we illustrate and protect human values and principles, and the threats they face. This does not need to diminish the specifically Jewish experience nor tarnish the remembrance it deserves.

Clear language on why the US Senate should ratify this landmark #HighSeasTreaty (hint: it serves US interests well).
But then again, maybe they will just go in and grab what they want, come hell or high water (see what I did there)

I still remember Nikos Tsafos’ comments on a webinar 5 years ago that oil, for all its useful physical attributes, isn’t inherently reliable but rather that we put enormous resources into creating a system that creates the reliability.
Trump just said what it is all about.
The sooner the world sheds its addiction to fossil fuels, the better. The alternatives are available, plentiful and cheaper.

“Even exceptionally old trees can rot in the middle, which is one of their features that makes them so important for wildlife, but could mean the tree is called defective by the logging industry. This could mean the tree is dismissed as waste wood. But a tree standing up in a forest is not waste.”

Grateful to spend two days on the Klamath watching chinook, liberated by dam removal, return to streams from which they’d been precluded since the Titanic sank. Fish are everywhere, in numbers that stagger the mind & locations that biologists figured would take years to repopulate. Too beautiful.

This sad example from Germany illustrates why #CircularEconomy requires systems thinking, not only product redesign. The building’s design and execution were top notch but an ownership change resulted in demolition without capitalizing on any of its many reuse and vaporization features.
