A lot of truth here. Jack Lemmon called it sending the elevator back down. Once you make it to the top, you are in a position to help others, but so many don't. It's disheartening, especially as someone who feels like they're still waiting for the elevator most days.
Writers with major awards & bestseller listings are in such a good position to promote kindness, fair practices, and share their resources and access with newbies.
Frankly there's a lot you could do that would change lives and take less time than an online argument!

I've got a mostly finished collection of very gay horror stories from the bizarre to reality based terror. It's about 46K words. And the burning eternal question, "Now what?"
