JUST SAYIN' Expedition 33 was something that got universal constant praise as the greatest piece of interactive fiction and I just didn't care to play it and then Dragon Quest 2 HD was a remake of a kinda shitty NES game that got Decent reviews and thats my GOTY so who tf cares? Gaming is all vibes

(And this goes for most gamers tbh) I do think I can still call out how pathetic some fans can be when they are not allowed to wave a high number in front of others to validate their series as The Bestest and thus throw it under the bus over every little thing when it doesn't conform to that vision

Don't get it twisted: I am a dyed in the wool sicko. I fucking love these games more than anything and I was gonna play Prime 4 even if it got a 30 on Metacritic. I am not an objective voice, BUT-

Overall I am still extremely excited and am now eager to play more than ever to see how I feel. Obviously, this series is very special to me so only I myself can truly know how its gonna hit

(also 3 was still great and I love it. Its just kind of a mess)

Despite being a sycophantic fanboy, I am surprisingly okay with the mixed reviews. I might even end up agreeing with aspects of them if stuff like Sol Valley and the allies really do drag the game down. I have a hard time believing its gonna bog it down as hard as the bad elements of 3 tho
