I contain multitudes.
I believe Saturday is the banner-raising ceremony.

Love it. You should hear everybody back there, but the keeper needs to be the consistent voice.

Favourite title?
Mine was the Sorcery mini series, and Creature of Havoc (which I believe had a printing error that made it impossible).

Specifically, I really got hooked on solo-player game books like the fighting fantasy series by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone when I was in grade 4. Amulet is a great graphic novel series, and the manga Attack on Titan is excellent (but may not be appropriate for the younger ones).

This is true, and I wish it were different. The guys in the dude’s book club I’m in tend to lean hard toward non-fiction, but have enjoyed the novels that we’ve done. Fantasy (especially paper RPGs and graphic novels) is a great entry point for boys who love stories but aren’t naturally readers.

Even the goaltender, moored mostly in place, shifts and bobs and turns in the tide of the game. If you can learn to read the surf, you can ride the waves wherever you want to go.

Everything is always moving, circling or drifting because of the surface (of course) but also the stick. The players as a whole, but also each player taken as a whole (especially with the puck) flows and undulates with mesmerizing regularity and surprising unpredictability.

If this had happened to me, not even my closest friends would be able to relate this story to the public, because I would have told no one and murdered the innocent receptionist as the sole witness.

You know that row of dads at youth hockey games that stands either way up in the gallery leaning on the rails, or against the glass? That’s you, but as an NHanalyst.

I liked your Incorporeal klinger bits better.

Tough one. If there were a way to throw the dice without leaving the lifeboat, or to do it gradually, that’s the answer. Of course, you should also probably sleep and see your family here and there too.
