Nobody is saying Republicans aren't worse. The point is that Dems have now twice tried, "look how bad that guy is. We'll do the things he wants but not as bad" and this is more of the same. The point being made is that Democrats need to sell making people's lives better, not less miserable

Do you understand, with your logical mind, that the reason for the shift in acceptance against trans people is that there was broad demonization of them by the party who hates them and meek acceptance of that demonization from the "party that is solely responsible for their safety"?
