delighted to see Amy Madigan getting a plum role in Weapons. she was SO good in Streets of Fire — 41 years ago (!!) she'd originally read for the kid sister part but convinced the director to play McCoy, who was "written to be played by an overweight male who was a good soldier". iconic.

it's not a coincidence that all the "tells" for visual generative AI are in areas where humans have hyperspecialized brain regions for visual processing; e.g. object permanence, spatial coherence, physics, faces, bodily motion. From @anjanchatterjee.bsky.social's The Aesthetic Brain:
