Species Spotlight: Wild Black Current (Ribes americanum)

Wild Black Currant is a species of shrub that has bell-shaped flower clusters that are white to yellow in colour, and leaves that are palmate, heart-shaped, coarsely toothed, and have 3-5 lobes.

Species Spotlight: Pearly Everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea)

Pearly Everlasting is a medium-sized species of wildflower that typically grows up to 1m tall. It has grey-green leaves and unique white flowers that are small and appear in clusters.

1/ In August 2025, dedicated volunteers and staff swept and power washed silt and algae off a historic lake trout spawning bed on Kamaniskeg Lake, ON! All Watersheds Canada fish projects are completed with permits and approval by Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.
