OSINT database of visually confirmed material losses in 🇷🇺🇺🇦 war.
https://warspotting.net/
All the way back to 2022, and the same day holds 8 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this very 2022-ish scene near Storozheve, Volnovakha raion with 5 BMPs-2 (and T-80) on it: 3 destroyed, one later seen captured, and one of unclear status — damaged, and possibly recovered by now.

Fast rewind to 2023, and the same day holds 13 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this BREM-L 'Beglyanka' ARV from near Oleksandrivka, Donetsk raion, one of only 10 losses of the type, +2 since the last time we looked at it earlier this year: bsky.app/profile/wars...

#ThrowbackLoss

This day year ago (2024) holds 15 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them these four MT-LB/LBu from 🇷🇺 assault South of Kupiansk, some of them heavily modified with additions, which is somewhat in spirit of MT-LB platform as we explored here: x.com/WarSpotting/...

Last week holds 22 confirmed #Russian losses in #Ukraine️, up from 16 initially reported week before (26 now) — and both deep underwater compared to the same 7-day period before:
2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣: 150 (incl. 51 autumn losses we attribute to Nov 31)
2⃣0⃣2⃣3⃣: 78 (17)
2⃣0⃣2⃣2⃣: 271 (150)

All the way back to 2022, and exact same day now holds 8 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this ZS-88 capture from Kherson oblast. We've looked at this weird family of PsyOps vehicles in our Twitter thread from Sep 2024 here: x.com/WarSpotting/...

Fast rewind to 2023, and the same day only holds 5 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this T-80BV near Novomykhailivka, Pokrovsk raion that appears to have gone through entire series of explosive events until its final obliteration.

#ThrowbackLoss

This day year ago (2024) holds 22 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them 3x Remdiesel Z-STS 'Akhmat' and 1x 'VPK-Ural', plus heavily damaged STS 'Sarmat-3'.

That's a lot of IMVs on a single day for an army that barely uses them, especially compared to 🇺🇦.

That being said, Dec is going to be this year's last chance to surprise anyone with anything — and maybe go under 100-a-month. Not that it would mean anything but stay tuned!

Even so, 2025 is clearly stagnating — at least in terms of lost 🇷🇺 vehicles. Increased abandoned counts suggest larger than usual grey zone, though, and, to an extent, sustained conflict intensity — just without much heavy armour involved any more.

#MonthlyLosses

Here's super-quick look back at Nov 2025, which has just passed. At 115 visually confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦, it's almost record breaking: only a touch above 106 we initially reported in Jul — although likely to grow just like Jul did and is at 163 now.

Last week holds 16 confirmed 🇷🇺 #WeeklyLosses in 🇺🇦, further 📉 from the week before (17 then, 19 now).

Compare to:
2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣: 116
2⃣0⃣2⃣3⃣: 58
2⃣0⃣2⃣2⃣: 72

This, of course, impacted entire last month that has just ended. Stay tuned as we'll be rolling out monthly overview soon.

All the way back to 2022, and the same day holds 6 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this curious case of franken-MT-LB-VM wreck somewhere in Kherson oblast. Even though it's VM variant (armament) it seems to be equipped with narrow tracks of base MT-LB model for whatever reason.

Fast rewind to 2023, and the same day holds 5 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this what looks like BMP-3 rolling over landmine in Polohy raion presumably full of ammo, which yielded unusually powerful 💥 and virtually annihilated entire vehicle judging by sat footage.

#ThrowbackLoss

This day year ago (2024) holds 9 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. *NOT* among them this BTR-82AT FPV'ed in Sudzha raion. Despite being abandoned at the time it's only damaged on our list since there was no major damage and the area is now back under 🇷🇺 control.

Last week holds 17 visually confirmed 🇷🇺 #WeeklyLosses in 🇺🇦, quite a 📉 since week before (30 then, 42 now) —although not unusual for figures this low — and only a fraction of any long-time weekly average.

Compare to the same 7-day period:
2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣: 98
2⃣0⃣2⃣3⃣: 53
2⃣0⃣2⃣2⃣: 102
November 25, 2025 at 1:28 PM
All the way back to 2022, and exact same day now holds 16 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this boring 'Orlan-10' with no one else but Robert 'Magyar' himself holding it. Only a unit — not even a company — Magyar Birds were rapidly gaining combat UAV fame back then.

Fast rewind to 2023, and the same day only holds 4 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Interestingly, 3 of them were KamAZ 6x6 from 3 completely unrelated locations in 3 different oblasts: Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk.

#ThrowbackLoss

This day year ago (2024) holds 10 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this curious case of 'VPK-Ural' that somehow turned upside down nearly intact around Sep 30, only to be seen burnt down by Nov 20, and back on what was left of its wheels months later.

Last week holds 30 visually confirmed 🇷🇺 #WeeklyLosses in 🇺🇦, nearly the same as the week before (28 then, 30 now).

Compare to:
Last 4 weeks avg: 50
Last 3 months avg: 43.8
This year's avg: 63.4

Also, compare to the same 7-day period before:
2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣: 155
2⃣0⃣2⃣3⃣: 66
2⃣0⃣2⃣2⃣: 233

All the way back to 2022, and the same day now holds 51 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Most of them from near Kherson airport soon after 🇷🇺 withdrew, and obviously old losses. Most interesting of those was probably this 9S18 'Kupol' radar for 'Buks' — the only one confirmed till today.

Fast rewind to 2023 and the same day holds 4 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this 'Bukhanka' that seems to be a genuine military asset, and we only count those but not ex-civilians. It may sound strange but we must draw a line of what lands our list, and that's where it is now.

#ThrowbackLoss

This day year ago (2024) holds 36 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦 — more than entire last week! Among them this T-90M presumably destroyed after it flipped in a ditch near Kurakhove. Interestingly, it appears to be a turtle kind — the only one of the type so far.

Last week holds 28 confirmed proper military material 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦, on par with the week before (30 then, 32 now). Both deep below last 3 months weekly avg 44.6 and this year's 63.7, let alone the same 7-day period over previous years:
2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣: 117
2⃣0⃣2⃣3⃣: 73
2⃣0⃣2⃣2⃣: 80
November 11, 2025 at 1:19 PM
All the way back to 2022, and the same day now holds 9 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them BMP-3 and BREM-1 that apparently tried to tow it away from near Stelmakhivka, Svatove raion but failed.

The latest footage of the two is from Oct 2024, hence both still abandoned on our list.

Fast rewind to 2023, and the same day holds 11 confirmed 🇷🇺 losses in 🇺🇦. Among them this BMP-2 East of Kupiansk that did spectacular and rather uncharacteristic 💥 probably caused by unusual kind of munition on board that day.
