It's strange to me that some players will be like "can I just roll to solve this puzzle? It's my genius character that's solving it, not me," but won't be like "can I just roll and the GM tell me where to move and what action to take? My character is better at tactics than me."

I like to keep Lae'zel in as much Githyanki gear as possible. By the end she's got the Psionic Ward Armor, Hr'a'cknir Bracers, Boots of Psionic Movement, Aberration Hunter's Amulet, Circlet of Psionic Revenge, Crossbow of Arcane Force, & the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane.
