I have just landed after Pony Camp Denmark, my first event abroad! @raymond.fee.sh and co. built fantastic space and community of ponies and handlers and I hope they know how well they've done!
I was a little nervous, but was able to try so much and meet fantastic ponies I hope to see again soon!

After a weekend away I had a five hour drive in the passenger seat to think about patterns for my mask, and I decided to keep my pink nose and add a split blaze- I stole the shape from a horse I saw among the New Forest herds!
This was a nice way to wind down, tomorrow I can put the finish back on!

Final stages of my hooves- though I may tweak the position of the stitching on the soles so I can give them.a neater trim!
Tongues and sleeves stitched on, ringlets added, and temporarily string laces until I go and but some actual ones. And I split my cutting board.
Hooves feel good though!

That's the last of the external hardware on my hood, just need to trim the tongue and buy some actual laces!
Oh, and fit a headband inside for padding and cut ports for an Internal bit if I decide it's worth it

Attempting to make the tongue for my hood tonight, it's a bit wide due to earlier miscalculations, which has led to a very screbbley bit of leather...

I'm trying a two piece design; the unpolished shape in the picture, plus a tongue to link the back (haven't started that yet)

After much delay, I've finally got a metal bit and can look the little bit fancier!

I was lucky enough to finally have someone with thumbs to hold the camera down at M.A.R.S (Manchester Alternative Rooms) this weekend- I had a great time at their pet party event and look forward to visiting again soon!
I even tried some rope, though I didn't get any pictures of that (this time)

I have been working on the back end of the pony hood, but got distracted by a request for a warhorse- I need to sort out a backdrop and some better lighting, but I'm spending all my change on craft supplies lately

It was a VERY rough cardboard form, filled with more card and tin foil; most of the detail was done freehand with the bone scraper, amd sculpting over the first layer

I got to try out my new gear at Hoof It! last weekend, my second pony event and first time really connecting to my inner pony! I can't thank everyone enough for being so welcoming and supportive of a nervous horse
I didn't think to ask for photos, so I had a little trip p the hill yesterday!

Bottom jaw finished and dyed, and it's most likely my last craft night before next weekend so I've made do with a temporary strap and a mane made from a sheepskin offcut for now. There is much burnishing to do at some point.

I've got most of the final layer onto my horse mask, minus the bottom jaw- I got impatient and did the first coat of dye when I should have gone to bed, then remembered I haven't sorted out an ear attachment yet- I also made some bigger ears, but they're too big now...
