And that's still better than what Congress wanted for the Confederates. They wanted to unperson them, eliminating their right to own even their clothes.

Lee's troops were willing to resume the fight after the disrespect at Appomattox. Think about that.

It's called, "Nothing left to lose.". "Dangerous ground", if you know your Sun Tzu. Lee's troops were willing after the blatant disrespect at Appomattox, but Lee talked them down.

We then weren't allowed to talk about the Civil War for 100 years. Not until the government allowed it and chose the Confederate Battle Flag to represent the Confederacy in reenactments.

We had an occupation, speaking as a Texan. People got starved and abused and the appointed governor locked the elected governor out of the office before he left through the window. You couldn't bury your dead. The Congress wanted to eliminate the right to personal property for all Confederates.

Just remembered another reference: In The Hobbit, Bilbo insults the spiders in Mirkwood by calling them, "Lazy lob, crazy cob", which suits the meaning as "head".

Cob, in the original, means "head". This is both in the literal sense and the metaphorical sense, with "cob" used to refer to the man in charge. Related: Word for male swan.

So, immediately restart the Civil War because there wasn't enough death. Got it.

Seriously, there's a reason Lincoln, and Johnson after him, worked to put a stop to the Punishment Acts. Especially since your position is actually reasonable compared to the Radical Republicans.

So what were you trying to do when your fat told you it wasn't going to happen? 🐺
November 14, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Yes, meant "tubby" fat. 🐺

Forgive me, but where does the apostrophe go on "girlfriends"? 🐺. Just how much of a playa is your dad? 😂

Happy birthday, Delako! 🐺. Hope the additional werewolf gets additional cake!

I understood that going in. You'll notice I didn't say anything about the more theologically valid of the two. It's a poor church that can't accept questions, and there are a lot of poor churches.

For the record, Lilith isn't in the Bible.

As usual, reality isn't that simple.

He looks great, especially that confused-looking expression in the first pic! 🐺

Oo, nice! What flavor is the filling?

Happy birthday, O amazing artist! 🐺

No questions, just congratulations. We can't go vegan in most of my family due to an inability to process complex vegetable proteins, so I'm always happy when someone else can go vegan.

I'm sure he thought it was funny at the time, since he started with the silverware and furniture and tacked on Lewinsky as an afterthought. Still stupid, though.
November 2, 2025 at 12:20 PM
Oh? May we have the details? 🐺

According to my fatter friends, yes. After all, it's a heavy weight sitting on your front, dragging your torso forward and down. In cases with particularly large bellies, people can end up swaybacked.

Clarification: As the Justice Department already pointed out in court, that money was set aside for other purposes, so taking it away from those accounts would be against the law by virtue of disregarding federal budget assignments. A bit of a problem.

For those not familiar with it, methotrexate is an antimetabolite drug used to treat certain cancers and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as to induce abortion. Confusing the two is DANGEROUS.
