We then weren't allowed to talk about the Civil War for 100 years. Not until the government allowed it and chose the Confederate Battle Flag to represent the Confederacy in reenactments.

We had an occupation, speaking as a Texan. People got starved and abused and the appointed governor locked the elected governor out of the office before he left through the window. You couldn't bury your dead. The Congress wanted to eliminate the right to personal property for all Confederates.

Clarification: As the Justice Department already pointed out in court, that money was set aside for other purposes, so taking it away from those accounts would be against the law by virtue of disregarding federal budget assignments. A bit of a problem.

For those not familiar with it, methotrexate is an antimetabolite drug used to treat certain cancers and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as to induce abortion. Confusing the two is DANGEROUS.
