I don't agree with a lot they do, but ditching stamp duty or at least reducing it by a lot would go a long way. Stamp duty is a tax on mobility and therefore not a good tax.

He had some great achievements, like the jump from the stratosphere (although a middle aged Google manager topped it only a short time later).
But as an Austrian I found it difficult to be proud of him because he used his popularity to spread conspiracy theories and extreme right wing views.

Military power determines the outcome of any war, not who has the moral high ground.
When the bad side (like Germany in WW2) got punished, it was because they lost, not (just) because they were bad.
Stalin did not get punished for what he did (including to Poland) because he won the war.

It was not a punishment for starting the war. This is not how wars work.
It was a punishment for losing the war.
Wars are not necessarily an aid to justice.

At least Ukraine will indirectly benefit, and the Russian and Iranian regimes will both get weaker. Also globally because Syria has been a humiliating defeat for both.
Hamas, Hisbollah and Huthis will get weaker as well. They are not friends of the West, so that is a good thing.

Great work - just joined.
This is obviously a long-term project... but there are a lot of things that can be done now.

The suffering of innocent people - particularly children - can never be right.
But the actions of Hamas are not in the interest of ordinary Palestinians. The Palestinians who oppose Hamas are true heroes.
Peace in Gaza will be much easier without Hamas (and without Netanyahu).

The Lefties who didn't vote for Harris because she didn't oppose Israel (enough) have only themselves to blame. I hope they enjoy Trump... the most pro Israel president ever.

I supported Corbyn against Johnson, but Starmer against Long-Bailey and Nandy.
So I probably don't qualify 🤔

I don't have a horse, but here is one of my Ragdoll cats. She is obviously also pro EU.

We just need a break after the permanent exposure to right wing Nazis and Putintrolls since Musk took over X.
Compared to that it is much easier to deal with the occasional Lexiter or Hamas supporter on Bluesky. And Bluesky makes it easy to keep my distance from them.

That's not just my opinion, that's the current law of this country. Which has a left leaning Government (compared to the previous one).

Glorify Hamas and you break law, says UK terror watchdog
The independent reviewer of terrorism says speeches and acts supporting Hamas's attack are against the law.
