Second: in Reddish, the footpath-only section of Arthur Street is proposed to be made shared use and the lighting columns moved out of the path, increasing permeability for neighbouring streets.

First: in Davenport, the cut-through between Frewland Avenue and Beechfield Road is proposed to be lit and widened.

Deadline 14 December.

Another consultation, and another change to the A34 scheme. The original proposal – upgrading the existing underpass to allow for walking and cycling – instead becomes a SPARROW crossing.

Deadline 21 December.

have announced a 20mph speed limit on Mauldeth Road.

🙌 Well done to everyone who advocated for this sensible speed change.

The new junction layout on Heaton Moor Road is complete! There are now signal-controlled pedestrian crossings at Peel Moat/Broomfield roads. The new junction also makes it easier and safer for cyclists to cross the main flow of traffic.

New: A signalised junction is now under construction in Heaton Moor, at the junction of Heaton Moor Road/Peel Moat Road/Broomfield Road.

This will make it easier and safer for pedestrians and cyclists to cross Heaton Moor Road.
