Sorry, I'm rambling again. TLDR: how the NCR is portrayed in S1 is nonsensical and I don't have faith that the writers will course correct in S2.

The destruction of Shady Sands, while devastating, would just not result in the NCR pulling out of the "Heart" of their territory. Simply using how the show portrays pre-nuked Shady Sands, it's unrealistic to believe that well built towns and infrastructure wouldn't surround the area.

The NCR has practically zero presence in the LA area and the show uses Shady Sands as the reason. But by the time of New Vegas, that simply doesn't make sense. The NCR's control reached farther south than LA and was even starting to dip into Baja during NV.

I'd go a bit farther though, the article focuses on the major discrepancy of the location of Shady Sands (and by extension, the seemingly retcon of Boneyard) but my issue is with how the NCR is handled following the destruction of Shady Sands.

I was having that issue for the longest time but it started to die down when I was able to use blockenheimer (now defunct) to mass block whenever I came across it. No idea why it shows up, never saw anyone I was following as following any of the diaper accounts.
