Not only does the film's plot center around the 100th anniversary of the town, but there are several Disney references and homages sprinkled throughout (though thankfully, not as in-your-face as Wish's references. There was even a homage to Steamboat Willie that got snuck in there).

Actually, part of me wonders if this was meant to be the 100th Anniversary film, as there are several elements that feel like it.
